Nov. 11, 2022–The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Small Business Summit in partnership with the Craig School of Business at Missouri Western State University on Wednesday, Nov. 16 in the Fulkerson Center. The morning of workshops, networking and inspiration will start with Cup of Joe at 8:30 a.m. Cup of Joe offers local business owners an opportunity to share experiences with a diverse audience of mentors and fellow business owners. There is no charge to attend Cup of Joe only.
Following Cup of Joe, the summit will feature a resource fair and breakout sessions on topics like managing burnout, marketing to people with disabilities, using LinkedIn and streamlining and scaling your business. Breakout session presenters include Missouri Western faculty members and alumni.
The lunch beginning at 11:55 a.m. will feature keynote speaker Cam F. Awesome. A four-time Golden Gloves and six-time U.S. Champion boxer, Awesome will share what boxing taught him: mental toughness, gratitude, cultural awareness, and how to develop a championship mindset.
