three Missouri Western students covered in colored powder take a selfie during Holi celebrationApril 16, 2019—The Indian Student Association at Missouri Western State University is hosting a celebration of Holi, the Hindu Festival of Color, from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 19 in Kelley Commons outside the Blum Student Union. The celebration is free and open to the public.

Holi celebrates the beginning of spring and the triumph of good over evil. Missouri Western’s celebration will include delicious food, fun music and the chance to throw bright-colored powder at other participants. Be sure to bring a camera – the bright colors make for great photo opportunities. Also be sure to wear old clothes, as the powder can stain. The first 50 participants will get free t-shirts.
