Sisters Michelle and Angie of Two Tone Press.

The Art Entrepreneurship Speaker Series at Missouri Western State University continues with two sisters who will talk about starting a small business at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in Potter Hall, room 107. The talk is free and open to the public.

Michelle and Angie Dreher bought a building in Kansas City six years ago and started their letterpress business, Two Tone Press. They will share their experiences of the challenges and rewards of starting a business from scratch.

Michelle’s love of relief printing and the letterpress process began at the Kansas City Art Institute and was fostered during her five-year stint at Hammerpress, another KC print shop. She is particularly passionate about creating hand-carved linocut illustrations. Angie, with a background in business, is the designated “left-brain” of the studio, but also stretches her creative muscles with collaborative design work on a number of projects.
