Western Playhouse, the summer theatre company at Missouri Western State University, will hold Equity principal and non-Equity auditions for roles in “Fiddler on the Roof,” to be performed June 17-25. Auditions will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, on Feb. 6, and in St. Joseph on Feb. 7.

Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in each city. Interested performers should complete an application and schedule a time at westernplayhouse.com.

Performers are asked to prepare 16 to 32 bars of a traditional musical theatre song that best shows their skills, a short monologue, and a second musical piece with contrasting style and/or range in case it is requested.

Dance calls will be held at noon and 5 p.m.

The Kansas City auditions will be at Musical Theatre Heritage, on the third floor of Crown Center. The St. Joseph auditions will be held in the Potter Hall Theater on the Missouri Western campus.

Performers selected for the production will begin rehearsals May 23 in St. Joseph.
