The Center for Multicultural Education at Missouri Western State University, PROMO and PFLAG of Kansas City & St. Joseph will call attention to anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools during a Day of Silence event at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16 in Spratt Hall, room 205.

Participants will hear stories of bullying and harassment, learn how to be an ally and identify what resources are available in St. Joseph and Kansas City.

The Day of Silence is a national initiative of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. The goal is to create safer schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
