The Departments of Nursing and Criminal Justice, Legal Studies and Social Work at Missouri Western State University along with the group Communities Creating Opportunity (CCO) will host a community meeting about Medicaid at noon Friday, March 27 in Spratt Hall, room 205. The meeting, “Closing the Gap: A Missouri Solution for Medicaid,” is free and open to the public.

According to CCO, under current Missouri law a single mother making more than $4,249 per year is not eligible for Medicaid. CCO seeks to close the health coverage gap, and is offering the community meeting as an opportunity to learn more about what people can do to save lives and ensure that every Missourian has the opportunity to thrive.
