The Politics Club at Missouri Western State University will sponsor a forum on the legalization of sex work. The forum, titled “Sex Sells: A Forum on the Legalization of Sex Work,” will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26 in Spratt Hall, room 203 and is free and open to the public.

Three faculty members will participate in a panel discussion on the issue:

  • David Tushaus, chair of criminal justice, legal studies and social work and former managing attorney for Legal Aid of Western Missouri
  • Monty Smith, assistant professor of criminal justice who was a police officer for 20 years in Baltimore, Maryland and a defense attorney for seven years
  • Jana Frye, assistant professor of social work who has previously worked with families and children of sexual abuse and trauma
