The Internal Revenue Service has notified Missouri Western State University that the university has been randomly selected for an examination of its federal tax returns for calendar year 2012.
Missouri Western received a letter from the Internal Revenue Service on Thursday, Sept. 11, scheduling an examination Oct. 20-24, 2014 and requesting several records from 2012.
“We began compiling the requested records as soon as we received the letter,” said Dr. Cale Fessler, vice president for financial planning and administration. “We will cooperate completely with the examination.”
