The fall semester at Missouri Western State University got underway on Monday, Aug. 25.

The day’s activities included Western Warm-Up, an annual event designed to introduce Missouri Western students to local businesses and organizations, campus departments and student organizations.

Later that evening, the Center for Multicultural Education sponsored a Unity Vigil, giving students, faculty, staff and community members an opportunity to reflect on the unrest in Ferguson, Mo., and to begin the process of positive healing.
