Missouri Western State University will host a celebration of the Chinese New Year at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 in the Hoff Conference Room, Blum Student Union room 218. The celebration is free and open to the public.

The celebration will serve as an introduction to the legends, traditions and customs of this most important Chinese festival, including music, a tai chi fan performance, games and samples of traditional dumplings and other Chinese food.
