Missouri Western State University has renewed its food service contract with Aramark Educational Services LLC for three years, through May 24, 2017. Missouri Western’s Board of Governors approved the contract renewal in a telephone poll Oct. 30.

Aramark operates Missouri Western’s Dining Hall and Food Court in the Blum Student Union, the Deli in Popplewell Hall, Einstein Bros. Bagels in Remington Hall, Java City in the Hearnes Center and the C-Store in the Commons Building.

Under terms of the contract, Aramark has made a financial commitment to Missouri Western of $1.8 million: $800,000 for food service renovations and equipment, and a $1 million grant for capital improvements.

Also by telephone poll, the Board of Governors approved the audit for fiscal year 2013. Auditors from BKD found no material weakness or significant deficiencies in Missouri Western’s accounting procedures.
