Dr. Mara Schiff, associate professor of criminology and criminal justice at Florida Atlantic University, will give a talk titled “Race, Rights and Restorative Justice” at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 in the Blum Student Union, Hoff Conference Rooms 218-219 at Missouri Western State University. Dr. Schiff’s talk is free and open to the public. It is part of the 2013-2014 Peace and Conflict Studies Speaker Series, sponsored by the Peace and Conflict Studies minor with the support of the Missouri Western State University Foundation.

Dr. Schiff is an internationally known scholar and academic in the area of restorative justice. She has authored many academic articles and book chapters and is the co-author of “Juvenile Justice and Restorative Justice: Building Theory and Policy from Practice.”
