The Department of Music at Missouri Western State University will host two guest artist recitals on Friday and Sunday, Sept. 20 and 22. Both are free and open to the public.

Dr. Slawomir Dobrzanski, pianist and faculty member at Kansas State University, will present a full solo recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 in the Potter Hall Theater. Dr. Dobrzanski is an exceptional pianist who has performed in Asia, Europe, South America and throughout the United States and Canada. He is a graduate of the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland and the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Rebecca Coberly, an active recitalist and oratorio performer, and Dr. Brendan Kinsella, a former member of Missouri Western’s piano faculty, will perform a vocal and piano recital at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 in Spratt Hall, Kemper Recital Hall, room 101. The recital will feature pieces by George Crumb, Alban Berg, Poulenc and other unique works that will be a musical treat. Dr. Coberly and Dr. Kinsella are both faculty members at the University of Texas-Pan American.
