A reception and awards ceremony for Missouri Western State University’s literary magazines, “Canvas” and “The Mochila Review,” will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Junior College Room of the Blum Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.

Awards will be presented to students who submitted the top writing and visual arts. Following the awards presentation, students published in this year’s “Canvas” will read from their original works. 

“Canvas” is the literary and arts magazine dedicated to showcasing student and alumni poetry, prose and photography. It is made possible by the Missouri Western State University Foundation. “The Mochila Review” is the national literary magazine that publishes poetry and prose submitted by professional writers from across the country.
