The Center for Multicultural Education at Missouri Western State University will host Black History 101, a mobile museum, from 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. March 27 in Blum Union rooms 218 and 219. It will be free and open to the public.

The Black History Museum, featuring Professor Griff of Public Enemy, is an innovative traveling table-top exhibit depicting black memorabilia spanning from slavery to the election of Barak Obama. The mobile museum has over 5,000 rare artifacts including original documents from historic black figures whose contributions helped shape the United States. Some of the artifacts displayed in this unparalleled mobile collection include items from the Jim Crow era, music, sports, slavery, the Civil Rights and Black Power era, and popular culture.

This mobile museum is a great way to learn about the struggles and successes of African Americans. The museum will give visitors the opportunity to experience the contribution of Martin Luther King Jr. and others like him and reflect on what they can do to leave their impact on this world.
