Three instrumental music groups from Missouri Western State University will present a free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22 in the Krug Park Bowl amphitheater.

The concert by the Missouri Western Concert Band, the Western Symphonic Winds and the Brass Band is part of a series of performances at Krug Park, a collaboration between the department of music at Missouri Western, the St. Joseph School District and the City of St. Joseph parks, recreation and civic facilities department.

The Concert Band and Symphonic Winds are under the direction of Jeffrey Hinton, assistant professor of music and director of bands. The Brass Band is directed by Dr. Lee Harrelson, assistant professor of music.

Seating is available for 1,200 in the amphitheater, and lawn seating is available as well. The next concert in the series will be a jazz band concert by the St. Joseph School District at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 6.
