With the smell of burgers and hot dogs filling the chilly October air, Western<\/a> students and fans began their homecoming tailgate activities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday, Oct. 28, the parking lot outside of Spratt Stadium was filled with cars, grills and Western fans from on and off campus. The Alumni Association, Phi Delta Theta<\/a> and numerous other tailgaters offered both school spirit, food and drinks to others who partook in the tailgating festivities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Friends and Western students, Baily Solen and Kasey McFall, came to the parking lot to enjoy a little tailgating fun, despite the cold weather.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOh, it doesn\u2019t bother us,\u201d Solen said. \u201cWe\u2019re just here to eat some brats and drink with some other friends of ours. We love tailgating here.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

After an eventful game, Western lost to Washburn, 34-24<\/a>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
