Western Fraternity, Phi Delta Theta<\/a>, kicked off the school year with their Fourth Annual Fall Concert on September 7. Performers included local band Nine Miles to Nowhere, The Strive and John King.<\/span><\/p>\n

The free summer time vibes themed concert brought in an eager crowd of students saying goodbye to summer and hello to a new school year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students were able to bust out those Hawaiian shirts one last time and enjoy an evening of a good music and converse with new and familiar faces.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Phi Delta Theta had the help from the whole organization, sophomore, Brendin Wood was in charge of booking the entertainment and organizing the concert.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m honored that I was selected to be in charge of this year\u2019s fall concert. I am really appreciative of my brothers\u2019 help along the way and seeing the fall concert makes me that much more excited for the school year and Phi Delta Theta\u201d Wood said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mitch Large, a senior at Western<\/a> and a member of Phi Delta Theta enjoyed this year\u2019s concert and what it provides Western students.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Annual Fall Concert that we put on really gets the students excited for what\u2019s to come in the school year and its way for us to meet new people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The fall concert also serves to remind freshmen that college is what you make it to be and that there is fun and, more importantly, free events that go on at Western.<\/span><\/p>\n

Phi Delta Theta President, Reyhan Wilkinson was very please with the outcome of the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think everyone involved in putting the concert on did a great job with coming together and pulling it off. It was awesome to see how many people came out from seniors to freshmen\u201d Wilkinson said.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
