Do you ever get frustrated, bored, and wonder what there is to do in the city?<\/span><\/p>\n

St. Joseph offers a variety of activities to do for the students at Missouri Western a few of which are: Geneo\u2019s Pizza & Pub, Kelly\u2019s Pub and Club Geek. <\/span><\/p>\n

Get out of your dorm and explore the city. Follow Frederick Avenue to downtown St. Joseph. Downtown is evolving and becoming more innovative, giving students more options of what to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

Geneo\u2019s Pizza & Pub<\/a> is locally owned and located in downtown St. Joseph. It has recently expanded, offering plenty of seating for its customers. The restaurant offers pizza, calzones, pasta and other appetizing choices.<\/span><\/p>\n

Melissa Palmer, the owner of Geneo\u2019s, supports Missouri Western academics and athletics. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have huge TVs covering the walls so all sports are available for sports lovers and we know young adults love pizza,\u201d Palmer said. \u201cWe advertise and donate anyway we can.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

During football season, some players visit Geneo\u2019s to have a night out before their game. In addition, the volleyball and women\u2019s soccer team will come to Geneo\u2019s to have a team outing. Geneo\u2019s also donate gift cards to the teams and help advertise their season games.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kelly\u2019s Pub<\/a> is also an attraction in St. Joseph for college students. Kelly\u2019s is located downtown, and students can go to drink and have some fun. It is a place students can go to have a good time with friends and meet new people. <\/span><\/p>\n

Shelby Dier, a senior Alpha Gamma Delta sister, said that Kelly\u2019s is always willing to open their bar up to fraternity and sorority mixers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKelly\u2019s is a fun environment to go to and drink, it\u2019s cheap and safe,\u201d Dier said. \u201cIt\u2019s a good place to go and relieve stress for the night.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Club Geek offers a good time for students. Club Geek is a bar with retro gaming and a nerd atmosphere. It allows one to enjoy some drinks while playing some video games and chatting with friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

Returning student Gabriel Barton said that Club Geek is great for our university because it offers a nice experience for students while being away from campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs a returning student to MWSU, Club Geek really helped me connect with the current students going to school, so I\u2019m not going back feeling like I don\u2019t know anyone,\u201d Barton said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Club Geek<\/a> is also located downtown, just right next door to Geneo\u2019s Pizza & Pub. Since the university is a dry campus, its relaxed yet fun atmosphere that can attract students to return.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, in the town of St. Joseph, here are a few options to allow you to explore the city and enjoy the college experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
