Tabula Rasa: The Directing Class Showcase
Each semester, as their Final Exam Projects, the students of the Directing for the Stage class produce a showcase featuring their work. In the Fall semester, the level I students direct 10-Minute-Plays, while in the Spring semester, the level II students direct 40-minute One-Act Plays. These plays are produced during the Final Exam week and are cast from an array of department students, faculty, staff, and community members.
The performances of these showcases are always free and open to the public. We welcome you to come out and support the work of these emerging theatre artists!
Auditions are always open to everyone.
Auditions for the Fall 2016 Directing I Productions will be Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 6:30p-9:30p. Roles are available for a wide range of ages and styles. Rehearsal schedules will be built to accommodate each director and actors’ schedules. For the sake of planning, actors can count on between 2-3 rehearsal hours per week, if cast.
Theatre, Cinema and Dance majors should bring a headshot and resume and should prepare a 60-second monologue.
All other students and members of the community will be provided with monologues to read.
To sign up for an audition, please use the form linked above. Actors will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis on the night of the auditions.
