Description: This course will involve weekly meetings throughout the spring semester and the laboratory portion involves an extended field trip to Belize over our spring break. Lectures will focus on culture, natural history, biodiversity and conservation of natural resources in Belize, Central America.

Afternoon—– Arrive in Belize City (2:05 p.m.)
Evening——- Clarissa Falls Resort, San.Ignacio

Monday, March 10th

Morning——- Nature walk to Xunantunich
Afternoon—– Lunch at Mayan site
Evening——- Return via Tube on Macal River

Tuesday, March 11th

Morning——- Green Hills Butterfly Farm
Afternoon—– Belize Zoo
Evening——- Depart for San Pedro

Wednesday, March 12th

Morning——- Sailing
Afternoon—– Pillar Coral
Evening——- 7:30 Lecture: Fish

Thursday, March 13th

Morning——- Mexico Rocks
Afternoon—– Mexico Cave, Playa Blanca
Evening——- 7:30 Lecture: Belize Archaeology

Friday, March 14th

Morning——- Tuffy, Coral Rock
Afternoon—– Soft Coral Gardens/ Marine Parks
Evening——- Free time in San Pedro

Saturday, March 15th

Morning——- Wall Dive (SCUBA certified)
Afternoon—– Mangroves, Shark and Ray Alley

Morning——- Pack and transfer to Belize City
