The Dean of Students supports the University’s mission of student-centered learning through advocacy, services, and programs. The goal of this department is to provide personal development, encourage wellness, protect student rights, and promote ethical behavior. To achieve this, the Dean of Students department facilitates the Accessibility Resource Center, Baker Family Fitness Center, Behavioral Intervention Team, Campus Recreation Services, Counseling Center, Emergency Response Procedures, Ersy Student Health Center, Graduate Student Support, Lost and Found, Parent and Family Programs, Student Conduct System, and assists with Title IX.

Contact University Police or 911 for assistance with any emergencies. Personal injury reports should be filed as soon as reasonably possible to University Police, (816) 271-4438. Students and visitors may file a claim for consideration of damage assessment by meeting with the campus Risk Manager and completing an Accident on State Property – Loss Notice form. The Risk Manager is Tim Kissock & is located in Popplewell Hall, Room 119, (816) 271-4466.
