Rachel Mott found joining the Golden Griffon Color
Guard helped her ease into college life. “Band
gave me a distraction from the stress, helped
me get over my homesickness and forced me to
see the good of being at college.”
Valerie says her experience singing in the WAC talent show “brought her out of her shell” and gave
her the confidence she needed to speak up for herself and “live life fully without hesitation.”
