Ludwig begins her second year as the Director of Recreation Services at Missouri Western. Previously she worked as the Fitness Center Coordinator for two years, and temporarily as the Interim Director before establishing the position full time. She oversees the operations and management of all recreation programs and facilities, including but not limited to the Baker Family Fitness Center, Thomas Eagleton Indoor Pool, Looney Complex, and Intramurals.
Ludwig is a product of the Emporia State University Athletic Training and Health Promotion programs, earning her bachelors degrees in 2011 and 2012. She then came to Missouri Western as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer (Volleyball and Men’s Basketball) and received her masters degree in Sport and Fitness Management in 2016.
During her time as an athletic trainer, Ludwig worked at the Division 1, 2, and NAIA levels. She continues to serve the community and provide sports medicine coverage.
Emily and her wife Kaci live in Saint Joseph with their two dogs Finley and Dezy.
Cary-Wilmes obtained her bachelors in Sociology from Missouri Western in 2015. She has worked in the aquatic field for 5 years, and has been the City of St. Joseph’s Aquatic Coordinator for 2 years. During that time Cary-Wilmes has received a number of American Red Cross certifications including: Lifeguarding, Basic Life Support (BLS), Administering Emergency Oxygen, BLS Instructor, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Trainer, Lifeguarding Instructor/ Instructor Trainer, and Water Safety Instructor. She is also a certified Aquatic Facility Operator.
Taylor graduated from Aquinas College in 2019 with a dual major in sports management and business administration with a minor in communication, since then he has spent time with the Muskegon Lumberjacks working in their sales and operations department and most recently served as the Assistant Athletic Director for La Lumiere Boarding school.
Taylor will be pursuing a Master of Applied Science degree in Sport and Fitness management at MWSU. He is excited to be a part of MWSU and is looking forward to meeting new people and getting to know the surrounding area.
