Then, one February her mother passed away. \u201cIt was the hardest thing I\u2019d ever had to do \u2013 making medial and then burial decisions when I had no income, no support.\u201d With nowhere to turn, she reached out to our on-campus Counseling Center. They supported her in a time when she thought she had no support. \u201cIt was at that time I decided social work is where my heart is.
