“I like the one-on-one I get from my advisor and professors.”

Kailynn Denson, Philosophy

Hometown: Kansas City, Missouri

Kailynn Denson, from Kansas City, Missouri admits she was not very organized when she arrived on campus, but Missouri Western not only helped her develop good study habits, but helped her lay out her four-year plan to earn a philosophy degree and graduate. “Learning good study habits helped me a lot.”

Kailynn said Missouri Western also helped her learn how to handle stress. “I talk to my professors, my advisors, and the Center for Academic Support.”

Her future plans include attending law school and practice international law.

“I love talking to my philosophy advisor and professors and interacting with them,” she said. “The classes are small, which is good for me. I like the one-on-one I get from my advisor and professors.”

Kailynn says Missouri Western is just the right size because you can meet a lot of people and there are a lot of opportunities to get involved if you want to.

Her future plans include attending law school and practice international law.
