To be admitted to the Human Factors and Usability graduate program at Western, an applicant must complete two applications. One is for admission into the Graduate School. The second is the Department of Psychology Graduate Admissions application. In order to complete these applications you will need to have the following items.
Preference will be given to students whose undergraduate work was in a human factors related field (psychology, business, anthropology, engineering, computer science, technical communication or graphic design), although any major will be considered. If you already have an MBA degree from an accredited university you will have less coursework (i.e., the Master of Applied Science Core/business coursework is waived).
If you have earned your Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Missouri Western, the GRE and reference letters are not required.
Preference will be given to applications received prior to March 1st, however, admissions are rolling until the cohort is full. We only admit students to begin the program in the Fall.
If you are an international student, additional requirements can be found on the International Studies page.
