After receiving two associates’ degrees from Johnson County Community College, Sandra wanted to pursue a full four-year nursing degree. Missouri Western offered her a state-of-the-art nursing simulation lab, compassionate professors and advisors, and the opportunity to gain clinical experience in St. Joseph and Kansas City.
“The Nursing faculty go out of their way to help you succeed,” Sandra said. “I feel prepared to take care of my patients, as well as develop good professional relationships with my coworkers.”
Sandra plans to become a mental health nurse after graduation.
