Over 1,200 schools participated in the 2021-2022 survey with 747 earning the designation. Missouri Western earned the designation with a Gold Distinction, scoring within 10 percent of the Top 10 schools in the Small Public category.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 2021-2022 Military Friendly<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Schools list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">www.militaryfriendly.com<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly<\/span><sup><b>\u00ae<\/b><\/sup> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution\u2019s survey response set and government\/agency public data sources, within a logic based scoring assessment. The ratings measure the institution\u2019s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMissouri Western has a long history of supporting our military,\u201d said Joe Midgley, director of Missouri Western\u2019s Center for Military and Veterans Services. \u201cThis designation recognizes the countless ways that dozens of people across campus help our military-connected students access their benefits and navigate the college environment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Center for Military and Veterans Services was established in 2020 to provide support and assistance to military-connected students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMilitary Friendly<\/span><sup><b>\u00ae <\/b><\/sup><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is committed to transparency and providing consistent data driven standards in our designation process,\u201d said Kayla Lopez, national director of military partnerships for Military Friendly<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00ae<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. \u201cThis creates a competitive atmosphere that encourages colleges to consistently evolve and invest in their programs. Schools who achieve designation show true commitment and dedication in their efforts.
