Dr. Melissa Mace, vice president for enrollment management<\/p><\/div>\n

Nov. 10, 2020–Dr. Melissa Mace has been named vice president for enrollment management at Missouri Western State University. Dr. Mace, currently assistant vice president for enrollment at Maryville University in St. Louis, will start her duties Nov. 16.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEnrollment management is a critical focus for Missouri Western, and I\u2019m confident that Melissa has the skills and experience to lead our efforts to attract new students and help them succeed on our campus,\u201d said Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy, interim president. \u201cThroughout the interview process, I was quite impressed by her knowledge, her leadership qualities and her understanding of the challenges faced by higher education generally and Missouri Western in particular. She will be an outstanding addition to our senior leadership team.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to be joining the Griffon community,\u201d Dr. Mace said. \u201cThe value Missouri Western places on affordable and accessible education is a key reason for my decision to join the University. Missouri Western\u2019s role in transformative education through applied learning has the ability to positively impact our students, community, the state of Missouri, and the region. It makes me proud to be part of something this special.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mace has been at Maryville University since 2015, with responsibilities in all facets of recruitment and admissions processes for freshman and transfer students. Prior to that, she worked at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Missouri State University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mace earned a Doctor of Education, Higher Education Leadership from Maryville University, a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.<\/span><\/p>\n
