The purpose in part was to highlight the city\u2019s entrepreneurial ecosystem \u2014 the local network of supporters and entities that help fulfill the aspirations of small-business owners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>Annette Weeks, the center\u2019s director, told the audience of several dozen that the council meets monthly to discuss matters related to the growing level of entrepreneurship now seen routinely in St. Joseph.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEntrepreneurs, as you well know, are important to our economy,\u201d Weeks told News-Press NOW. \u201cThey\u2019re the job creators.
