Dr. David Ashley, professor of biology at Missouri Western State University, will give a presentation titled \u201cBatty About Bats\u201d at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 in the Hearnes Center, room 102. The presentation is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cBatty About Bats\u201d was developed for a general audience with a broad background and interests. Dr. Ashley makes the presentation annually during the Halloween season, a time when bats frequently get bad publicity.<\/p>\n
The presentation includes the natural history of bats globally and within Missouri, factors detrimental to bats and the way that bats benefit natural ecosystems.<\/p>\n
