A brown bag lunch and discussion with the speaker will follow at 1 p.m. in Popplewell 111. Both events are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>The talk by Dr. Michael Neagle, assistant professor of History at Nichols College in Massachusetts, is titled \u201cBecoming Good Neighbors: Americans on Cuba\u2019s Isle of Pines.\u201d He will talk about U.S. relations with Cuba in the twentieth century and American efforts to settle there. Dr. Neagle earned his bachelor\u2019s degree from College of the Holy Cross, and his master\u2019s and doctorate degrees from the University of Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>This event is sponsored by the Mary Boder Trust.<\/p>\n<p><em>Missouri Western State University is a comprehensive regional university providing a blend of traditional liberal arts and professional degree programs.
