Mel Klinkner, vice president for financial planning and administration at Missouri Western State University, has accepted the position of vice chancellor for finance and administration at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Klinkner\u2019s resignation from Missouri Western is effective Aug. 3.<\/p>\n
\u201cMel has done an excellent job for us in his role as vice president for financial planning and administration for the past four years,\u201d said Dr. Robert Vartabedian, Missouri Western\u2019s president. \u201cHis accomplishments have been numerous and greatly appreciated by the university community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Klinkner came to Missouri Western in 2008 from Purdue University, where he served as fiscal director for the housing and food services division. Previously, he served in financial administrative positions at the University of Central Missouri, the Kansas Board of Regents, Kansas State University and the University of Kansas.<\/p>\n
Klinkner has a master\u2019s degree in management from Baker University in Kansas and bachelor\u2019s degrees in business administration and economics from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas.<\/p>\n
Plans for the search for Klinkner\u2019s successor will be announced as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
