The Center for Multicultural Education at Missouri Western State University, PROMO and PFLAG of Kansas City & St. Joseph will call attention to anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools during a Day of Silence event at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16 in Spratt Hall, room 205.<\/p>\n
Participants will hear stories of bullying and harassment, learn how to be an ally and identify what resources are available in St. Joseph and Kansas City.<\/p>\n
The Day of Silence is a national initiative of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. The goal is to create safer schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.<\/p>\n
