Connie Brock has been named Missouri Western State University\u2019s executive associate to the president. Brock began her duties Jan. 5.<\/p>\n
\u201cConnie has the combination of skills and experience that will make her a valuable asset to the Missouri Western campus and I\u2019m looking forward to working with her,\u201d said Dr. Robert Vartabedian, Missouri Western\u2019s president.<\/p>\n
Brock has been an administrative assistant at Mosaic Life Care since 2012, providing administrative support to two associate administrators. Previously, she served as office manager for Trimus Financial Services in Smithville, Mo., executive assistant to the president\/CEO and legal counsel of Systems & Service Technologies of St. Joseph and executive assistant to the president\/CEO of Fermenta Animal Health Company in Kansas City, Mo.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs an alumna of Missouri Western, I welcome the opportunity to give back to the organization in this role,\u201d Brock said. \u201cI consider it a privilege to work with the staff, faculty and students at Missouri Western.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brock earned a business certificate from Missouri Western State University. She currently serves on the St. Joseph Symphony Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
As executive associate to the president, Brock will oversee the daily operations of Dr. Vartabedian\u2019s office. She will also serve as secretary to Missouri Western\u2019s Board of Governors.<\/p>\n
Brock replaces Kim Weddle, who has been named Missouri Western\u2019s director of development.<\/p>\n
