The Missouri Western State University Eggs and Issues Speaker Series presents \u201cThe Rise of the St. Joseph Economy\u201d by R. Patt Lilly, president and CEO of the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 in the Fulkerson Center on the Missouri Western campus. The breakfast is free, but reservations are required by calling 816-271-5646 by Wednesday, Sept. 24.<\/p>\n
Lilly will talk about the impacts on the local economy over the last 20 years and how St. Joseph became \u201cone of the top consistently growing communities in the country over the past decade.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lilly served as St. Joseph city manager from 1990 to 1996, as Chamber president and CEO from 1996 to 2006 and as chief administrative officer for Triumph Foods from 2006 to 2013, when he returned to the Chamber.<\/p>\n
Lilly was named as one of Ingram\u2019s \u201c50 Missourians You Should Know\u201d in the Kansas City business magazine\u2019s June 2014 edition.<\/p>\n
Since 1988, Eggs and Issues has provided a community educational forum that encourages the exchange of ideas on current topics. The series is sponsored by the Missouri Western State University Foundation.<\/p>\n
