Missouri Western State University\u2019s political science faculty members will hold a panel discussion on affirmative action in honor of Constitution Day at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 in Kemper Recital Hall, Spratt Hall 101. The event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhose Advantage is it Anyway? A Discussion of Affirmative Action\u201d will focus on the issues that affirmative action was created to address, recent rulings of the U.S. Supreme Court, and possible alternative approaches to ensuring equity.<\/p>\n
Participants include Drs. Jonathan Euchner, Melinda Kov\u00e1cs and Edwin Taylor, faculty members in the political science program. They will present information and participate in a question-and-answer session with the audience.<\/p>\n
