The Organization of Student Social Workers at Missouri Western State University and the Social Welfare Board of Buchanan County are holding a Walk for the Homeless from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 in downtown St. Joseph. Proceeds will help the homeless in the community with transportation costs for medical needs and employment opportunities.<\/p>\n
Walkers can register for $15 by going to www.followmehome-less.webs.com. The registration fee includes an event T-shirt and a barbecue dinner after the walk.<\/p>\n
The walk will begin outside the parking garage at the corner of 6th<\/sup> and Messanie and will follow the migration of the homeless.
