The Spanish Club at Missouri Western State University welcomes Elvira Loyola de Bausset, a published Argentinian poet, for a Spanish Poetry Night at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in the Hearnes Center, room 102. The poet will present a copy of her recently published book of poems to Dr. Robert Vartabedian, Missouri Western\u2019s president. The event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
De Bausset was born in Martinez, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1923, and now lives in Provo, Utah. She is the mother of Dr. Ana Bausset-Page, assistant professor of Spanish. In addition to her poetry, de Bausset has done paintings, watercolors and hand-knitted blankets. She used to own and run a beauty salon in her home in Castelar, Argentina.<\/p>\n
