April 10, 2026–Altec, Inc., is the latest St. Joseph employer to join Missouri Western State University\u2019s Corporate Education Program. Altec and MoWest formally signed the agreement during a ceremony at the company\u2019s St. Joseph manufacturing facility.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAltec Industries is excited to announce our participation in the MoWest Corporate Education Program,\u201d said Carolynn Sollars, Altec Industries\u2019 HR Program Manager, Talent Acquisition. \u201cAs we look to the future success of our growing business, this newly established partnership will enhance the educational opportunities for our associates and their families.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Through the partnership, Altec associates, their spouses and dependents will receive a 20 percent discount off standard tuition for any undergraduate or graduate program at MoWest, whether delivered in person, online or in a hybrid format.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAltec is one of the cornerstones of St. Joseph\u2019s economy, and we\u2019re honored that they recognize the benefit that a MoWest education can make in the lives of their employees and their families,\u201d said Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy, MoWest president.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The partnership deepens an already strong relationship between MoWest and Altec. One of the training spaces in MoWest\u2019s Houlne Center for Convergent Technology was named the Altec Manufacturing Technology Bay in honor of the company\u2019s early and ongoing support of the project, and the company remains a part of the Houlne Industry Advisory Group to help ensure that the center\u2019s student training aligns with real-world manufacturing needs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Altec joins Triumph Foods, the City of St. Joseph and the St. Joseph School District as the first members of the Corporate Education Program.<\/span><\/p>\n
