The planetarium is located inside Agenstein Hall, room 147.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Friday, March 14 \u201cSea Monsters\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Journey 80 million years back in time to an age when mighty dinosaurs dominated the land and an equally astonishing assortment of ferocious creatures swam, hunted, and fought for survival beneath the vast, mysterious prehistoric seas. Stunning, photo-realistic imagery re-creates the perilous underwater realm of two young, dolphin-sized marine reptiles called Dolichorhynchops, or Dollies, and follows their incredible journey through waters ruled by some of the most awesome predators ever to prowl the Earth\u2019s oceans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Friday, March 21 &#8220;Wonders of the Universe&#8221; &amp; &#8220;Hubble Vision 2&#8221;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Wonders of the Universe&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Peer deep into space through the eyes of the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope and travel back billions of years in time to witness the birth of the universe. On this breathtaking excursion, you\u2019ll witness the formation of galaxies and explore some of the most wondrous nebulae and astronomical structures yet discovered. As your travels continue, you\u2019ll fly deep into our own Milky Way galaxy and return home to Earth on a spectacular tour through the solar system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Hubble Vision 2&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since its launch in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope has provided incredible images in unprecedented detail to astronomers and made an astonishing array of discoveries. \u201cHubble Vision 2\u201d takes the best and most exciting Hubble images and woven them into an engaging story of cosmic exploration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Bushman Planetarium features a Digistar 4 projection system and a dome that is slightly tilted, rather than directly overhead, making viewing easier. The Dolby 5.1 surround sound system enhances the viewing experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The planetarium is open to the public. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children age 13 and under, students, military, and senior citizens age 60 and up. Planetarium tickets must be purchased in advance, either online at <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/missouriwestern.edu\/planetarium\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">missouriwestern.edu\/planetarium<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> or in person at Agenstein Hall room 140 during regular business hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Missouri Western State University is a student-centered learning community preparing individuals for lives of excellence through applied learning.
