The contract was finalized during the Board\u2019s Feb. 22 meeting. It takes effect July 1, 2024, after Dr. Kennedy\u2019s current contract expires, and continues through June 30, 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Board of Governors appreciates Dr. Kennedy\u2019s leadership of Missouri Western State University,\u201d said Rick Ebersold, Board of Governors chair. \u201cThe partnerships that she has created and strengthened on campus and in the community have laid the foundation for Missouri Western\u2019s continued success.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI am honored and humbled by the Board\u2019s confidence in me, and eager to continue the good work that we have begun,\u201d Dr. Kennedy said. \u201cThis decision also reflects the Board\u2019s confidence in all of our faculty, staff and students, whose hard work and dedication make Missouri Western the great place that it is.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Kennedy was named Missouri Western\u2019s sixth president in February, 2021, after serving six months as interim president.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Missouri Western State University is a student-centered learning community preparing individuals for lives of excellence through applied learning.
