He will start his duties on May 15.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe are very pleased to bring Dr. Bumblauskas on board,\u201d said Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy, Missouri Western\u2019s president. \u201cHis combination of academic and private-sector experience will enhance Missouri Western\u2019s efforts to serve the workforce development needs of our region.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. Bumblauskas comes to Missouri Western after 10 years at the University of Northern Iowa, most recently as MBA coordinator and associate professor of management. He has also been a visiting or adjunct professor at the University of Missouri, University of Washington and Sichuan University in China, and has led study abroad programs at Sant\u2019Anna Institute in Italy and Trinity College Dublin. He has also worked in private industry, and currently serves as senior vice president of PFC Services, Inc., a boutique consultancy based in Marietta, Georgia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI am very excited to join President Kennedy and the team at Missouri Western State University,\u201d Dr. Bumblauskas said. \u201cPresident Kennedy and the team&#8217;s vision for the CTAC aligns very well with successful centers I have worked with at various institutions over the years across the country. I am looking forward to helping develop and grow the CTAC and the Kit Bond Science and Technology Incubator, as well as to support businesses in the greater St. Joe area.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. Bumblauskas received a bachelor\u2019s degree in industrial engineering and economics from Iowa State University, where he also earned a master\u2019s degree and doctorate in industrial engineering. He also has a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) from Harvard University, with concentrations in operations management and higher education leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CTAC, a partnership with North Central Missouri College, will be home to a collaborative educational program delivering practical, applied learning in skilled manufacturing and construction professions, cybersecurity and information technology. Featuring state-of-the-art equipment and a new training facility, CTAC will offer workforce training opportunities that will encompass adult education, workforce development, and two-year educational programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Missouri Western State University is a student-centered learning community preparing individuals for lives of excellence through applied learning.
