Jan. 19, 2023\u2013Teresa Harris, professor of art at Missouri Western State University, has exhibited artwork in four juried exhibitions across the country in the past year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMerged: Third National Exhibition of Collage and Assemblage\u201d at the D\u2019Art Center in Norfolk, Virginia<\/b><\/p>\n

Harris\u2019 mixed-media work, Nectar2, was accepted into this national exhibition curated by Wade A. Mickley, graphic designer at NASA Langley Research Center and illustrator for regional and national publications. There were 477 submissions and 63 works chosen for this national exhibition. This exhibition is currently on display through Feb. 4.<\/span><\/p>\n

“CCAN 2022: Contemporary Center for the Arts National 2022” at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene, Texas<\/b><\/p>\n

Nectar2 was also accepted into the national juried exhibition curated by Colette Copeland, art faculty member at the University of Texas at Dallas, cultural and arts critic for Glasstire and a member of the Association of International Art Critics. Harris received a first-place award in this competition, which was exhibited last September through November.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Connectivity” at the Attleboro Arts Museum in Attleboro, Massachusetts.<\/b><\/p>\n

Two of Harris\u2019 two mixed-media works, Birdman3 and Attributes, were accepted into this national juried exhibition curated by Craig Bloodgood, contemporary curator at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, Massachusetts. There were 507 submissions from 17 states and 100 pieces were accepted for the exhibition, which was displayed last June and July. Birdman3 was selected to be used as promotional marketing for the exhibition on the main Attleboro Arts Museum website as well as their Facebook page.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Academy Center of the Arts National Juried Art Exhibition” at the Academy Center of the Arts Gallery in Lynchburg, Virginia<\/b><\/p>\n

Harris\u2019 mixed-media work, Birdman IV, was accepted into this national exhibition curated by Janly Jaggard, lecturer and Instructor at the prestigious Beverley Street Studio Art School in Staunton, Virginia. The exhibition took place last April.<\/span><\/p>\n
