Major: Music Technology & Percussion
Tarquin Kellough is a first-generation college student and a music technology major within the Department of Music. Having taken music classes in high school, Tarquin never thought that he would need the theory aspect of music. However, he has discovered that Missouri Western gives you the desire and means to actually delve into the “whys” of the performances.
While in high school, Tarquin focused on hammering out the beats on his drums, but now he has the opportunity to think about what he performs and the best technique for doing so. Missouri Western has given Tarquin music experiences that he would not have otherwise, and has allowed him to show his family and friends that everything is possible, especially at Missouri Western!
