(The) MWSU choirs are more than just a group of singers. We're more than musicians and more than students. We're a family and we love one another like brothers and sisters...This choir had had an amazing impact on my life and I will never forget the memories and the accomplishments we've created. Come join our family.
Choirs at Missouri Western State University
Welcome to Missouri Western State University’s Choral Studies! As Director of Choral Activities and Music Education, I am pleased to work with such talented musicians from our region. Our program offers a personal, challenging, and well-rounded education to those who are interested in becoming music educators, those wishing to receive a minor in music, or individuals desiring to continue their musical experiences at the university level. MWSU is a great choice for any person desiring to express themselves in the arts.

MWSU Renaissance Chamber SingersThe Renaissance Singers/Chamber Singers is an audition ensemble made up of the finest voices in our region. This ensemble enjoys performing several times a year and serves as the department's major touring choral ensemble. The Chamber Singers have recently been invited to perform on Missouri's state music conference in January, 2018. Each fall, the ensemble produces a full Elizabethan-style holiday dinner in November/December titled "Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste."
MWSU Concert ChoraleThe Concert Chorale is a non-audition ensemble made up of majors, minors, and non-music majors from across our MWSU campus. This ensemble enjoys performing challenging repertoire in a fun, high-energy environment. This group performs for MWSU events and three public concerts a year, including the annual MWSU High School Honor Choir. Join our music family and celebrate community when our society is focused on individualism. You will make friends for life while stretching yourself as a musician and artist by singing history's greatest works. This ensemble has enjoyed performances at the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts and at the Missouri Theater with the Saint Joseph Symphony Orchestra. Members from the Concert Chorale traveled to Ireland for an international tour in May of 2017 as a part of the Music Celebrations International Concert Series.
" The choral program here at Missouri Western gives you an opportunity unlike any other. Out of all the years I have sang in choral groups, nothing can quite compare to the connection I have with the individuals in my MWSU choir family. I wouldn't trade my home away from home for anything in this world"
Congratulations to our MWSU Chamber Singers! They have been invited to perform on the 80th Annual Missouri Music Educators Association Conference at Tan-Tar-A!
