Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders

There is growing demand for professionals who understand the issues and needs of individuals affected with autism. Autism now affects as many as one in every 68 children nationwide. The online Graduate Certificate in autism spectrum disorders program is valuable for those interested in the fields of counseling, social work, speech pathology, various fields of therapy, teaching and program management in any area which provides services to individuals on the autism spectrum.

Autism  classes are offered solely online and the graduate certificate can  be completed in 1-2 years. Courses are open to degree-seeking students and non-degree-seeking  students.

How to apply:

Complete an online application for admission to the graduate school.

Admission to the program requires meeting all qualifications for acceptance to the Missouri Western Graduate School, successful completion of a baccalaureate degree in education or a related field, and a minimum GPA of a 2.75. You may apply to this program with or without having a teaching license. The GRE is not required.

Behavioral Interventions for Students with ASD (3 credits)
Teaching Communication and Social Skills for Students with ASD (3 credits)
