Students can earn elective credits for their service.<\/p>\n<p>Sigrist graduated from Missouri Western with a Bachelor of\u00a0Science Technology in Business Management\/Legal Studies. Since 2015, she has served Missouri Western as administrative assistant in the Department of\u00a0Athletics, executive associate to the president and executive director of enrollment management.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-5209\" src=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2021\/02\/G_Clapp-310x279-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Gary Clapp\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2021\/02\/G_Clapp-310x279-1-50x50.jpg 50w, https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2021\/02\/G_Clapp-310x279-1-66x66.jpg 66w, https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2021\/02\/G_Clapp-310x279-1-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Sigrist takes over for Dr.\u00a0Gary Clapp, who was named executive director of the Innovation Stockyard, the public-private partnership that operates the business incubator on Missouri Western\u2019s campus. Clapp served\u00a0as president and CEO of the Institute for Industrial and Applied Life Sciences from 2006 to 2012, and in that capacity managed the incubator when it opened in 2008. IIALS was renamed Innovation Stockyard in 2015. After some time at a pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organization, Clapp returned to Missouri Western in 2015 as associate professor of chemistry and director of workforce development before taking over the Center for Service in 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In early 2021, Missouri Western\u2019s Center for Service and the Kit Bond Science and Technology Incubator both got new leadership.
