I am Nitha, and I am a graduate student in Missouri Western with a major is Information Technology administration and assurance (ITAA.) I am from India. My short term goals is to graduate with the Master degree in December at the end of the Fall 2018 semester. Also, I am working as Graduate Assistant in the International Center. I truly believe that Missouri western is the best place to learn about and experience different cultures and religions all over the world. Professors are very supportive and friendly. I am learning about many things on and off university campus, as well as enjoying my time in Missouri Western. I am proud to call myself a Griffon.
Oganya, or simply “O” to her friends at Missouri Western is a Psychology Bachelor degree candidate. She arrived on campus Fall 2015, and is a second year student from Nigeria recently stated, “At Missouri Western you get more than just an education, you get an experience of a life time. You are more than just a student, you are a community member, you belong to a family. Being here has exceeded my expectations of the college experience of an International Student greatly. This was definitely the right choice for me.”
Federica, or Fede as her friends call her, is a Junior at Missouri Western. She is Italian and she studies Psychology and has a minor in Athletic Coaching. She is also involved in campus activities as part of the MWSU Women’s Tennis Team. Her short term goal is to graduate from Missouri Western and get a Neuropsychology Master’s Degree in the Unites States. She really likes the opportunities this country offers and how welcoming people are. She truly believes that Missouri Western is the perfect place to learn and experience something different every day. Federica is really interested in human connections and in knowing different cultures and mindsets. This job at the International Center is helping her grow personally and mentally.
Marcus Triplett is a junior here at MWSU who is studying History as his major and communication as his minor. Marcus is originally from St. Louis, MO and graduated from Pattonville High School. Marcus had this to say about his time so far at MWSU, “I have very much loved the community I’ve been able to be a part of. And I am grateful to have been able to expand on that by being a part of the International team.”
